DYL is a uranium explorer with tenements mainly in Australia and Namibia. DYL’s mining operations are located in the Tanami Arunta Province of the Northern Territory and Western Australia. DYL's Mt Isa District exploration program covers JVs with Matrix and Xstrata. Activities in Namibia are carried out by Reptile, a wholly owned subsidiary of DYL, which holds 100% of four contiguous exclusive prospecting licences covering 2,681sqkm, which contain secondary uranium mineralisation.

The company listed on the ASX on 19 December 1985.

It was primarily involved in gold exploration and production but has since shifted its focus onto uranium exploration.

On 29 July 2005, the Company announced the acquisition of the uranium rights from Tanami Gold NL.

Deep Yellow Limited operates in the Minerals sector, specialising in extracting raw resources namely uranium. The company concentrates its operations within Australia. There is an increasing demand for uranium as an alternative source of energy.
