Industry:
Metals & Mining
Fiscal Year-End:
Jun 10

SAU's focus is on the exploration of the established portfolio of projects and the generation of new opportunities for gold, uranium, copper and nickel resources in the mining provinces of Australia. Exploration companies aim to discover and delineate occurrences of metals and minerals that can be economically mined and extracted.

The company listed on the 21 April, 2005.

SAU's principal activity is mineral exploration covering gold, copper, uranium and nickel. The outlook for the resources industry is closely linked to world economic growth and the supply/demand balance for raw materials.

SAU have projects spanning over 10,000 square kilometres in South Australia. The company has recently applied for additional tenements covering highly prospective ground that will further enhance their uranium prospectivity for palaeochannel and Olympic Dam-style deposits and provide shareholders with the opportunity of successful exploration.

SAU's major customers would include the retail, wholesale and international markets. Its competitors consist of other mining companies such as Redport Limited (RPT). Most oil and metals are sold into the global spot markets, whilst gas, coal and iron ore is typically sold under long term contract arrangements with utilities, large industrial users and steel plants.
